Adults

Church is not just an event we attend, but it is a people to whom we belong.
And that means we place high value on creating ways for you to enfold your life into the life of Central Baptist. Listed below are great ways to begin that process.

SUNDAY MORNINGS
The first step in getting more plugged in to the life of Central Baptist is by getting involved in a Life Group. These smaller gatherings of believers are intended to help you study the Bible in the context of Biblical community. Here you will get to know others who will encourage you and spur you on to live in light of the Gospel (Hebrews 10:24-25).

Groups are offered Sunday mornings at both 9:00 and 10:30 am, complimenting and encouraging participation in one of our two worship services being held at the alternate time.

If you would like to learn more about our Life Group ministry, please contact our discipleship pastor, Drew Heurion.

WEDNESDAY EVENINGS
In addition to Life Groups, we also offer a variety of Equip Classes, which meet on Wednesday evenings in the Fall and Spring, from 6:15-7:15pm. We refer to these classes as Equip Central, and you can learn more about that here.

Alongside of our Equip Classes, we hold a Mid-Week worship service in the auditorium, led by Pastor Stephen Byrd. It also begins at 6:15pm.

Before both Equip Classes and our Mid-Week worship service we host a meal, which is another way to get to know others in our faith family. Click here to learn more about meal details.

WOMEN
The CBC Women’s Ministry is an authentic and safe community for all women, no matter what age or stage in life they are, to know Christ more deeply, be known by other godly women, and make Christ known in our city and world. They meet weekly on Thursday morning for Bible Study, and we will occasionally offer a ladies' Equip Class on Wednesday evenings.  For more information, please contact Laurie Trice.

SENIOR ADULTS
Central Baptist Church has a significant population of senior adults age 50 and older.  These adults serve our church in a multitude of ways and enjoy time together at Central 5-0. That is the name of the monthly fellowship for people in this age group.  They generally meet on the 4th Thursday of the month at 11 am in the Worship Center.  Attire is casual.  The time usually includes a brief devotional, a musical program, and is always followed at noon with a full meal for a very reasonable price. From time to time, there are day trips as well for these dear friends. For more information, please contact Mrs. Jonnie Sirmans.
