Answers to Frequently-Asked Questions
REGISTRATION AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE.
INFORMATION BEFORE YOU REGISTER
- The cost for early registration is $95 per child thru June 16th, increasing thereafter to $120 (f team space is available).
- During registration, parents can select one night during the week that their child is unable to practice. If the family schedule requires more than that, we may not be able to accommodate your registration.
- Parents my request a particular coach, but our goal is to keep teams as balanced as possible and we may not always be able to honor your request.
- All games and practices will be held at Central Baptist Church.
- We will not know what grades are playing in the same division until we determine how many kids are registered in each grade. Example: in 2018 the divisions for Flag Football wereK5, 1st-2nd, 3rd– 5th, 6th– 8th.
- Flag Football is K5-8th
- Volleyball is 3rd- 8thgrade girls.
- Cheer is K4-3rdgrade girls.
- Volleyball has an introductory recreation league and an intermediate to experienced competitive league.
- It is extremely important that EACH child comes to one of the evaluations.
- Volleyball: Tuesday, June 18thfrom 5:30pm – 7:00pm
Saturday, June 22ndfrom 1:30pm - 3:00pm
- Flag Football & Cheer:
Monday, June 17thfrom 5:30pm -7:00pm
Saturday, June 22ndfrom 10:00am- 12:00pm.
INFORMATION AFTER TEAM DRAFT & PRIOR TO FIRST GAME
- At this point, additional registration will only be done if team space is available.
- Coaches will contact players after Coaches Training on July 9th.
- If you have not been contacted by your coach by July 17th, please contact us at (478) 953-9319 or upward@centralwr.com.
- We have a limited number of volunteers and cannot promise that any exceptions will be made. If we cannot accommodate your request, you will receive a full refund of your registration fee.
- A transaction may occur on refunds.
- Practice begins the week of July 22, 2019.
INFORMATION DURING THE SEASON
- First games are August 10, 2019.
- Last games are September 28, 2019.
- Football requires mouth piece and recommends cleats.
- Volleyball requires knee pads.
- DARK jersey is for the HOME team.
- Games last approximately 60 minutes.
INFORMATION INVOLVING CELEBRATION NIGHT
- The Upward Celebration is the highlight of the season, please do not miss it.
- The event involves a large number of people, please anticipate traffic, parking, etc. and get to church with time to spare.
